What is the subscription program?

Tired of paying full price for glasses every year? Being a part of the Eyewear Junkie Subscription locks you into a 30% off on your purchase after signing up, then you will continue to save towards your next pair of glasses. Our Subscription program is transparent and customizable to everyone no matter the demands.

Step One: Pick a frame, we only have 5 frame prices to choose from. We like to keep it simple.

Step Two: We take a look at your prescription and determine the best lens and price for you.

Step Three: This is where we discuss the benefits of anti-reflective coatings, transitions, or making them into polarized sunglasses!

Step Four: Once we have everything picked out for your perfect pair of eyewear we then take 30% off the entire order because you are becoming an Eyewear Junkie. We now divide your discounted total by 12 months and that becomes your monthly payment for your next pair of glasses. Easy and affordable plan for great eyewear.

We make saving money for your next pair of glasses easy, painless, and automatic. Since your next pair of glasses will likely cost close to the same amount as the order you just placed, we take that total and divide it by 12 to come up with your automatic monthly payment. After a year of payments, we let you know that your glasses are paid for, and you get to come in and choose the glasses you want! If you happen to choose frames that are less expensive than the ones you previously ordered, no worries! The money you have saved never goes away and will be applied to future orders. Want more than one pair per year so you can change up your style more often? No problem! We will take that discounted price and multiply it by two or three or however many glasses you want that year! We will then divide by 12 to get your monthly payment. When you participate in our Eyewear Junkie Subscription Program, you will save 30% on every pair of glasses you buy! Plus, we make it easy to save with our monthly automatic payments.

What is Eyewear Junkie?

Eyewear Junkie is that friendly face you see in the crowd, that breath of fresh air. We want to be completely transparent and make sure you're happy with your eyewear. We have a huge menu board that helps simplify the process: pick your frames, pick your lenses, pick your treatments and don’t forget the accessories! When trying on our glasses you will start to notice how different and unique our frames are. That is because at Eyewear Junkie we do not carry high end name brands that you see at other retail stores. Eyewear Junkie has our own brand of glasses that match the styles you want with the prices you love. This makes buying new eyewear tons of fun while giving you the ability to find multiple pairs without breaking the bank. Just because you buy a pair of glasses with Eyewear Junkie doesn't mean it stops there. Being there for our customers is our biggest joy! For all the Eyewear Junkies in the world we offer FREE lifetime adjustments whether you purchased with us or not. Need a repair? Stop in and we will take care of you!

How long will it take to get my glasses?

Single Vision lenses take about 7 days. Some that require special steps or safety etchings may take a few more days. Bifocal, progressive or any prescription sunglasses about 14 days. We give ourselves and our labs a little wiggle room to make sure all our glasses go through intense inspection and are perfect just for you.

What is my Frame warranty?

All our Eyewear Junkie Frames automatically come with a 2 year warranty that covers almost anything. Your dog chewed them up? Covered! Accidently ran over them with your car? Covered! Unless they are lost we can warranty the pieces. If we cannot fix your frame in the store and we order a new one there is only a $15 replacement charge. And if your dog chews them up again, no worries! You are allowed an unlimited number of replacements during the 2 year warranty period.

What is my Lens warranty?

If you have anti-reflective treatment on your lenses, then you qualify for a 2 year unlimited scratch warranty in which you pay only $15 each time you need to replace scratched lenses. If you do not have anti-reflective treatment, you qualify for a one time lens replacement for only $15, within 1 year of purchase.

Yes! We are an open network provider with VSP. We are able to look up your benefits and calculate your end total for your purchase.

Do I need the anti-reflective coating?

We highly suggest anti-reflective treatment for every pair of prescription lenses whether they be clear or sunglasses. Anti-reflective treatment helps eliminate glare from your everyday activities. There is also a premium anti-reflective treatment that helps protect your eyes from the blue light emitted by your smartphone, computers, and most electronic devices. The premium anti-reflective treatment can help eliminate eye fatigue when on an electronic device for a long period of time. Studies show that 15 minutes of screen time without blue light blocking anti-reflective treatment is the equivalent of being outside for 8 hours without sunglasses.

What is polarization?

Polarized sunglasses are specialized eyewear designed to reduce glare from surfaces such as water, snow, and glass. Glare distorts the true color of objects and makes them harder to distinguish. Polarization can be helpful while driving by reducing glare reflections from flat surfaces such as hoods or certain road surfaces. It can also be beneficial to certain sports like fisherman. It will help reduce the glare off the top of the water.

Lens Information

Single Vision: The entire lens is the same power throughout it, and may correct either Myopia (near-sightness), Hyperopia (far-sightedness) or Astigmatism. Single Vision lenses correct for a single point of focus whether it be distance, intermediate, or near.

Bifocal: This type of multifocal contains 2 different powers in the lens. Standard bifocals typically come in a flat top 28 (FT28), flat top 35 (FT35), or executive. 28 and 35 represent how wide the bifocal is from side to side and executive represents that the bifocal goes across the entire lens.

Trifocal: This type of multifocal contains 3 different powers. Typically the top power is for distance, the middle power is for intermediate, and the bottom power is for reading. Trifocals also come in 7x28, 8x35, and executive.

Progressive: Instead of having just 2 or 3 lens powers like bifocals or trifocals, progressive lenses provide a seamless progression of many lens powers for all viewing distances. Progressive lenses also have more cosmetic appeal due to the invisible zones and no harsh lines like bifocals and trifocals.

They are "light-adaptive lenses" or "variable tint lenses". Benefits of transition lenses are they automatically adapt to light conditions, they reduce eye strain and fatigue indoors and squinting in sunlight. The photochromic lenses can also lessen glare by regulating the amount of natural light you are expose to.
